    Lincecum not messing about tonight. 39 pitches to get through 3.1 innings. Some games this season he struggled to make it through the 1st in less than 40 pitches.

    Cain vs Latos tomorrow night should be a cracker. Reds have hit Cain well, and Latos dominated the Giants last time out, but given what has transpired the last 2 nights, who knows what frame of mind the Reds will be in. The whole series seems to have turned on an error by a many-multiple time Gold Glove winner against an anemic offense.

    I have typed all that assuming that the Giants now don't have a total meltdown and lose this game!
