San Diego ace Jake Peavy will miss at least
a month of action and will be forced to wear a cast on his injured right ankle, the club announced Friday.

The Padres are expected to place the righty on the disabled list later Friday.

Peavy, who suffered the injury running the bases in a May 22 game against the Cubs, is 6-6 with a 3.97 ERA in 13 starts this season. He was scheduled to start Saturday's game against the Angels.
