    Who has tie breaker Bal/NYY

    They went 9-9. If they end up tied who wins the division?

    single game playoff to determine Div. winner/wildcard... it would be an extra game, loser of that game plays the 1 game wildcard playoff.


    if they end up tied, the loser of that 1 game deciding game is in trouble.. they would have to burn two pitchers just to get into the wildcard series.

    if that was the Yanks.. they are starting Game 1 with their no. 3 pitcher.

    Thanks, I knew that was the way they did it before. Thought it might of changed with the new wild card. That's really ruff playing back to back do or die games. Also do you know who gets home field? Seems like there might be a lot of travel between div champ, wild card then to first round. Could get brutal.
