With Carpenter pitching at his worst this post season, I say the man in red is due. Obviously one of the best pitchers in baseball and probably the most important game for Chris this post season yet. Depending on his offense isn't gonna be enough. But on that note, with Maine pitching for the Mets, I see him getting pulled in the 4th or 5th inning after the Cards put up some early runs (if not more than some). He's not shy to give up runs and he can't last more than 6 innings as it is. Maines given up 5 runs in 8.1 innings for the post season..........after he gives up those 4 or 5 runs than gets pulled, the Cards just have to tie up the noose and hang the Mets relief pitching out to dry. Even though I think Carpenter's gonna have a good game tomorrow, i'm not denying the Mets of their bats especially back at home, which is why i'm going with the over and the Cards.
Lucky to have cards in series at this point +170 , and will wager 1/3 of series bet on mets tonight. That is more of a personal hedge than any prediction as to tonight though...gl!
Passing on this game...
I would play the cards and the under if I had to...
Carpenter-Maine game was unusually high scoring last time, should be low scoring this time...
Of course I dont bet on totals, ever so what do I know...
