    Are the yankees done?

Totally falling apart. Will they still make the playoffs?

The question to ask is "do you trust the rays outside the dome? or do you trust the orioles youth and pitching? then you fall back on yankees at the end of that argument.

All I know is even if the Yankees make the playoffs they get beat in the 1st round by
the Tigers. Doesn't even really matter if they make the playoffs. With that
payroll its world series or bust for the Yankees. I hope all those fukking Italian pricks
get a good seats to watch the Yankees get eliminated by Verlander.

You're a funny one big bear, besides Verlander, your next best guy? Scherzer?? Ill take Kuroda over him any day in a game 2, and as for a game 3, the way Hughes has been pitching, anibal or fister wont have a chance. Any lets not forget when you say "that payroll" you guys are in the Top 5 of the Highest Payrolls in the league and only growing, as with the yanks, we've only been cutting back on money.

haha you're telling me to pay attention when Scherzer is actually 2nd in the AL in Strikeouts, atleast you were close Houlihans but if you're gonna say anything and try to be a smartass know your stats. Did you forget of his sub par ERA in the postseason? Yea he only has pitched around 16 innings but when you give up 10 runs and your ERA is nearing 6, Ill take a veteran like Kuroda any day. If your only argument is "he strikes people out" then you should be worried.

Yep I was Waaaayyyyy off. Ya got me.

Scherzer is a quality pitcher, albeit streaky he is on a good run. Kurosion would be Det fourth best pitcher, behind Fister. Yanks are falling apart, while the Whorioles and Rays continue to win. If the Yanks do not hit Hr's they can be had.

    Also, Scherzer > Kuroda

i think so. playing without passion, (passion for HRs only it seems)
all "big-ball", can't compete with hustle exhibited by other teams

i think they get swept, and are out of first within 3-4 days.

i expect this 10-game road trip to yield a 3-7, or 2-8 record*

Yanks will make the playoffs. Not sure about the matchup they'd face though, don't know if they could do it. as for the sherzer argument, I've always liked him actually, just my opinion.

Last I remebered Scherzer had no problems beating the Yankees last season in the playoffs in Yankee stadium. It's a fair argument according to recent form of Scherzer and Yankee's hitters and health that he should not have problems giving the opportunity to pitch again against them.

agreed Cnote, i think they will return to the Yanks of the first series (swept by Rays)
nobody is afraid of Sabathia anymore..

gave up lead last night on *8 hits, 7 innings, gave up lead TWICE game before that..
the man is just in poor condition, it catches up to people..
nothing over 93mph anymore, very hittable 'Ace'
(if he can be referred to as that anymore)

    Possibility

Team very old. Still think they make playoffs but probably ousted very early

Sons dont spend money like the old man. Hopefully Betances and Banuellos can be contributors soon. No chance ARoid is still on team in 2017. Need to pay him his money in next couple years and send him on his way.

i really think they could be. whats carried them all season, their offense, is now dying. Cano is on DL so is Tex. Granderson has now become a strike out machine.

having Andruw Jones, Russell Martin, Ibanez etc is absolutely killing them of stringing base hits together for big innings.

they are AWFUL with RISP one of the worst teams in baseball. would not surprise me one bit if they miss the playoffs

    Yanks are too old

You cannot win in MLB with older players
