    Using the folly of a baseball squad known as the Houston Astros, I've decided to have a small $5 open parlay totalling 11 games. I won last night against SF (they lost a 4 run lead). Their next 9 are versus Cincy for 3, Pit for 3, and Cincy again for 3, the final two series away. It may be a stretch but being 7-38 since the ASB is a good indicator that I have a shot.

    I will also do this for the Indians next road trip in which they are 1-17 for the last 18.

    not often do i open a thread and think "that a great freaking idea", sure enough that seems like a great freaking idea! you right tribe ben miserable on road..i think i would leave a little leeway to skip a day here or there if you end up with a subpar pitcher going against or something as inevitably they prob win 1 of next 10, all you gotta do is avoid the 1!!!>

    Very true, I was hoping they would win a night ago or even last night because for this to work they would end up with a streak of 15. Not impossible given that they blow but definitely tougher than say a 6-8 game streak which they have had a few of in the 2nd half.

    even if you have to be a little selective and leave out one or 2 that would have cashed so what, if you patient and look to play better than avg pitchers against and simply add spot cle on road to same parlay i think you can get there.

    Reds hot right now, won 4 out last 5. Might worth a RL chase on this series in Houston. Leake kind of cold, keep in mind.

    Fade and chase the Astros the rest of the season. I've been doing it for 3 weeks and I'm up about 12 units. There were 2 games I missed because I wasn't around a computer to get my bet in but could have been up 14 units. Worst stretch I hit was the first 2 games I played. I started during the Milwaukee series and Houston won the first 2 games which wasn't surprising with how bad Milwaukee is on the road. Got it all back on Game 3 though.

    Welcome to my system. I have been doing this for a month (post in a fade thae astros thread somewhere) if i may suggest, do a 3 open parlay and fade astros rl. Better pay out and quicker payout. BOL

    Ok so Astros eeked one out yesterday. I don't mind because now they are in line to lose the next 7 on the road at least. The Indians start on the road tomorrow. So I'll have two open parlays with those teams faded separately and one very large jackpot one hoping they both lose 7 in a row at the same time, started it today because Indians also won yesterday somehow.

    I do ML, plain and simple, will get about -175 to -225 per game.

    And you can do open parlays on 5Dimes. They are parlays where you set a certain number of open slots when you make the bet and then can fill them in later at any point.

    Well this was busted today. New plan, rejoin the Indians road parlay, they shouldn't win again. Bet Astros -1.5 against the Pirates, they are in free-fall and I will get some beautiful values.

    This is still a great idea it just needs a little tweak. I know the Houston Astros pretty well because I dont let grass grow under my feet, you know what I'm saying?. I've been fading this team all year. If you're not fading this team you're really missing out but there's just a few things you need to be cautious of.

    *Don't bet against Harrel. This guy is good and i he gets a little run support you might run into a L.

    *Don't fade the rookie Garcia they just called up. Hes good.

    *Don't bet against Norris @ home.
