I am the Rays' worst enemy....

    Tampa last 16 games: 12-4

I've been on them 3 times in that span: 0-3

    All walkoff losses

    7/30 4-3 Oakland in 15 innings

    8/5 1-0 Baltimore in 10 innings (well that was a home game...not a walkoff)

    8/14 3-2 Seattle

I control whether this team makes the playoffs!

I had Baltimore +215 in the 1-0 game. Anyhow, it is interesting that Tampa Bay and Oakland are at or near the top of the wild card race when Oakland is dead last in the Major Leagues on batting (.231) and Tampa Bay is third to last (.235).

Some anemic offensive clubs. That Oakland game was a killer. I stayed up until 3:20 AM watching that loss.

BTW, I had the Rays in a parlay with the Braves on that Sunday game with the O's.......not straight up.

Agree but you have to score SOME runs in the playoffs. And in the A's case, it has almost as much to do with their ballpark as it does with the pitching.

I agree both play in pitcher friendly parks, especially the A's.

The Rays game was just dumb, ugly baseball with some luck sprinkled in. The error on the sac bunt was the death sentence. Runner on 2nd with 1 out as opposed to 2nd/3rd with 0 outs is a huge difference and cost Tampa backers big. Sh*t happens!
