The Yankees cruised to a win in Game 1 against the Tigers, and that should also be the case tonight in New York.

Today the Detroit Tigers will be on the road as they take on the New York Yankees. We will side with the Yankees!

What we saw in last night's Game 1 of this Divisional Series is the Yankees bats overpowering the Tigers pitching. We can expect to see almost the same thing tonight in Game 2. The Tigers will send to the mound Justin Verlander, the last pitcher you want pitching against this Yankees lineup. Verlander has been having big pitching problems as of late. In his last three starts, he has given up 14 runs in only 14 innings pitched, and you can bet that the Yankees bats will be attacking Verlander all night long.

Then again, it's already a known fact that Verlander struggles when pitching against the Yankees. He had one start against the Yankees this season and, in that start, Verlander gave up six runs in only five innings pitched. Verlander has nothing good going for him tonight.

As for the Yankees, they will send to the mound Mike Mussina. Unlike Verlander, Mussina has been pitching very well as of late. He enters this game with a 2.70 ERA in his last three starts, giving up only five runs in 16.2 innings pitched, and it's expected that the Tigers will struggle to get hits and runs off of him in this one.

In fact, Mussina has pitched against these Tigers once this season, and the Tigers struggled to get hits and runs. In that start, Mussina pitched a full game while only giving up one run. We expect the Tigers to once again struggle against Mike Mussina and the Yankees. The Yankees should win this game by at least two runs.

    Play: Yankees -1½

I feel there is some very good value with the Tigers tonight in game 2, and i think they will win.
