Garza to the Reds?
According to Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com, the Reds are talking to the Cubs about a possible trade for Matt Garza.
It was thought that Garza would stick with the Cubs through Tuesday's trade deadline after being skipped in the rotation due to cramping in his right triceps, but the Cubs are clearly taking calls. In fact, ESPN's Jayson Stark was told by an executive that there's "very high chance" Garza will be dealt before Tuesday's deadline. The Blue Jays, who are targeting a pitcher they can control for 2013, are also believed to be in the mix.
