Furthermore, Santana has had excellent success in his career facing the Oakland A's, going 4-1 with an ERA of 3.19.
A's starter Barry Zito is very formidable in his own right, but he hasn't exactly been lights out down the stretch, having only two quality starts in his last five outings.
Bottom line in this one is that the Twins have the better offense, the better starting pitcher and Santana's amazing streak of 18-0 at home this season that we aren't about to buck.
