    Mets backers, check in

Everyone and their sister is on the Dodgers today. We all know Mets bullpen blows, they are starting 41 yr old Batista tonight, blah blah blah...

not to mention that guy freelife1 or whatever has created like 4 threads claiming to have 8G on LAD or whatever.. prime fading material.

And who can really back this lineup?

    Abreu LF,
    Kennedy 2B, .239
    Kemp CF,
    Ethier RF,
    Loney 1B, .245
    Uribe 3B, .186
    Cruz SS, .227 career hitter
    Treanor C, .200 (13/65 this season)
    (Capuano P)

Kemp & Either can hit we all know that... but look at everyone else.

And by the way-- that "terrible" Mets bullpen cleaned up Santana's mess last night, holding the Dodgers to 1 run on 3 hits in the final 6 innings.

Same can be said about the Mets' lineup. Pitch around Wright and don't throw Davis any cookies. Torres .227 Bay .191 Davis .207 Nickeas .168 If you have to defend the Mets' bullpen in your argument...you're prob on the wrong side. Dodgers win 5-3, 6-4 type game.

    im with you

first of all i like mets have been better to me then the dodgers this year. dodgers ******* suck...maybe someone will steal home on them sorry ass...second and the a very strong point is that mets this year are 17-5 against left handed pitchers and there playing at home. plus after that lose they want to come out with a win...and last and most important is that douche guarantee a win....MY ASS....i have learned that here is no such thing...

    good luck im fading LAD

my parlay mets and washingtion...lets get it

    My thoughts exactly.

Many people think the Dodgers are some all star team-- they have 2 hitters and zero power outside of those guys. Public perception of the Mets right now is in the basement-- now is the time to jump on them.

    • @KBurkhardtSNY So it's 4-0 Dodgers off Batista, who has thrown 867,354 pitches in the third. #Mets

@AdamRubinESPN Jordany Valdespin pinch hits for Miguel Batista, whose starting days (if not career with Mets) are over.

As much as I wish that to happen, with Johan joining Gee on the DL, Batista might have to make another spot start eventually. Unless they go with Hefner. Or bring Harvey up (which at this point I think they have to)

@michaelgbaron The Mets COULD get Harvey three starts on the road before pitching him at home for the first time, if they call him up for Thursday's start.

I hate this guy. Luckily he is a somewhat decent fielder, but he should not be batting 2nd, ever

Think the Dodgers have scored all of their runs with 2 out.

What a joke, walks keep coming back to haunt. Needed at least 1 run last inning, thees guys need a miracle
