Maybe if closers today closed out 2 innings, I'd see an argument for closers. Not the way the game is played anymore though. Clippard was just a set-up guy until Soren went on the DL. Now, he looks solid as a closer. Somehow, he's valued more now than before, when his responsibility has not changed all that much. Some knucklehead team will probably try and trade for him because he's a closer.
