GAME OF THE DAY: TORONTO BLUE JAYS v NEW YORK YANKEES

TORONTO BLUE JAYS v NEW YORK YANKEES

7:05 PM ET, July 17, 2012Yankee Stadium, New York, NY

    BLUE JAYS +195
    YANKEES -235

Toronto Blue Jays meet New York Yankees tonight in game 2 of a 3 game run. Yankees are spurred by the re introduction of CC Sabathia who drops off the disabled list to play ball tonight whilst the Blue Jays are without Jose Bautista. It would seem that Toronto’s chances of a playoff purge is looking less and less likely without their number one hitter and the pressure is off for Sabathia who doesn’t have to pitch to the Dominican. Ron Patrick is going with the obvious pick of the Yankees and gives the low down on tonight’s game. The SBR Sportsbook is also favouring New York, they are on the under of -235 with Toronto over at +195.

Will you be swapping odds at around 5pm?

    If so, thanks in advance.

Doesn't seem worth it at those odds. You never know when the Jays bats are going to light it up, even without Jose. Plus who knows if CC is really 100%? It took until the 8th inning to put the game away against the Jays bullpen.. I don't know, there has to be a safer bet on the card tonight.

TOR's bullpen ranks near the bottom, and you know Cecil will be lucky to last until the 5th against the Yanks.

When a star player goes out (Bautista) the rest of the team will generally up their games and play much better.

When a star player returns (Sabathia) the rest of the team will generally lay back and look for the star to do everything so they play much poorer.

I think the Jays have 50/50 chance tonight.
