I put $250 before I read your post, mexicanstallion - lol - I was paying too much attn to other posts. Ah well, if I lose, it won't break the bank. I also placed $250 on sabathia - someone should win to mitigate a loss.
Been following Cincy pretty closely and I'm staying away.
Red's bp had to work for SIX innings thanks to Arroyo. I'm only half kidding when I say that I'm thinking of auto fading any pitcher who wears his hair like a girl; I mean, look at how another white trash Assford blew a 2-run lead to the Cards. And let's not forget Timmy.
Cueto says his blister is fine but how do we know for sure...?
Votto and his knee getting scoped - unless you just landed on planet earth early this evening, this should be old news to you. Not only is he a major contribution, the other players now feel the pressure to pick up the slack.
Baker just isn't as fast on the up-take as he was during his playing days with the Dodgers. I have seen him repeatedly leave in starters too long. And even if this doesn't happen tomorrow, I'll repeat that the Reds' bp had to work six innings.
And keep in mind the Reds have yet to face Bauer. He got his bad starts out of the way; in other words, he got his cherry popped. The next game against the Dodgers, he was scary good. That performance should be confirmation that he belongs in the show and not triple A.
Now do you still want to lay -166? Cueto had better pitch lights out for 6-7 innings and Cinci bats had better figure out Bauer quick.
Bauer's control with his breaking balls has been garbage. Literally bouncing them a foot short of the plate. He is still shaky and prone to walk a bunch. With Votto out, it's a pass.
