The rivalry between the Giants and Dodgers stretches across the Lower 48 and dates back more than 100 years. These two teams simply don't like each other, and they meet tonight in San Francisco with Los Angeles hoping to sew up a postseason slot.

Tonight the Los Angeles Dodgers will be on the road as they take on the San Francisco Giants. We will side with the Dodgers.

The Dodgers enter this game in a very heated playoff race. They are currently one game behind first place in the NL West while having a 2-game lead in the wildcard. A Dodgers win tonight, followed by a Phillies loss, guarantees the Dodgers being in the playoffs. With all this momentum backing the Dodgers tonight, they should be able to beat a team like the Giants who have already given up on the season.

The Dodgers have more then just momentum on their side tonight. The Dodgers will be sending the better pitcher to the mound in Hong-Chih Kuo. Don't be fooled by Kuo's 4.12 ERA on the season. We need to remember that at one time he was a relief pitcher who was still trying to find his way. Ever since joining the starting rotation, he has a solid 2.59 ERA (29 strikeouts vs. only 20 hits in 24.1 innings).

We can expect a poor Giants lineup to struggle all night long against Kuo. While the Giants are struggling to score runs, the Dodgers will easily score runs because the Giants will send Noah Lowry to the mound. Lowry has been terrible this season (4.84 ERA), and things have just been getting worse as of late. In fact, Lowry has a 16.03 ERA in his last three starts ( Giants are 0-3).

It's also good to note that the Dodgers are 6-1 in their last seven meetings against the Giants. It's all about the "Blue Crew" tonight.

    Play: Dodgers

Lowry has been roughed up recently, so I can see LA cashing tonight.

I'd have to agree with you guys, and say the Dodgers are the right side in this game. LA has been red hot as of late, and has played very well as of late against the Giants in recent meetings.

This is SF's playoffs, but with that said, they are playing rather pathetic lately. I might throw a little on the alternate RL on them -1.5
