After a tough loss last night at home, and still fighting for a playoff slot in the NL, expect the Phillies to bounce back strong enough tonight in Washington to take them on the run line against the Nationals.

Look for the Phillies to bounce back from a disgusting one run loss yesterday by crushing the Nationals tonight.

The Phillies are a sizable favorite on the money line but we get great line value by taking them on the run line as they certainly should win this game by multiple runs. Starting pitcher Brett Myers is 4-0 over his last six starts and the Phils turn to their ace in need of another solid start. Myers has allowed just 12 earned runs on 35 hits over his last 44 innings of work. He has struck out 47 over this stretch and we look for him and the Phillies to dominate tonight.

The Phils had won 10 of 12 before yesterday's loss. Even though the Nationals have won six of nine, they are running into a buzzsaw tonight as Myers will mow the hitters down.

The Nationals' Ramon Ortiz is just 1-6 in his last eight starts and he's allowed 38 earned runs over his last 42.1 innings of work. That won't get the job done tonight against the Phils and let's also keep in mind that the Nationals have a weak bullpen and the Phils' relievers have been solid on the season.

    Play: Phillies -1½ (-110)

Yeah, this sounds like a reasonable play to me...
I like the Phils to comeback strong today...

At this point of the season, the Phillies is really the only way to play this game IMO
