the scouting director that found Erck Aybar, Mike Trout, Marc Trumbo, and practically all of the young contributors in the Angels org, was fired last year. That move was Soscia saving his own ass as the team has struggled mightly until this year.

Did you just see that at bat.

Down 0-2 in the count to McCalister, Trout works it to 1-2, 2-2, foul, foul, 3-2, foul. then

    BOOM

    3 RUN BOMB

This kid is the second coming of Mickey Mantle, he's that fukkin good.

2 for 2 yesterday in four plate appearances. The other two resulted in sac - flies.
2 runs scored, 2 driven in THREE stolen bases.

Just an average game from the next big thing.

Mike Trout clubbed his 11th homer overnight last night.
Very impressive for a lead off hitter.

If he played the month of April, and hit 3rd, 4th, or 5th in the line up, Trout would probably be on a pace for 45 or 50 homers.

Nasher, do me a favor and take a look at this thread and tell me if PWAD has any actually logical argument at all. yes he is correct in the fact that the arm speed could change dramatically when throwing a fastball to a change up..but from a 95 mph fastball to an 81 mph change up..that change in velocity is pretty damn high, alot higher than most mlb pitchers and you still have to be able to guess change up, and sit back and wait on it after seeing 95..PWAD seems to think this is no big deal what so ever and guys at 20 years old do this routinely

First all star game at bat - single, right up the middle.
    Then he steals second.
Is there anything Trout can't do on the baseball field?

Bryce Harper looks like an idiot losing a ball in the outfield, and yet there are idiots that think Harper is worlds better than Trout.

I found it funny they called Harper a Phenom. Kids were making harder catches last night in the home run derby

You seem to forget Trout came up late last year. Harper started the year in the minors.

Bad first game for Trout after the All Star break.

2 for 4, double, run scored, and another stolen base.

    Yawn.

to be fair trout is already 2nd in the league in WAR, and the guy leading him has played 20 more games than trout.

in my opinion hes the AL mvp if the season finished today. theres no one near him, hamilton? cano? not even close

    Beg to differ Froggy.
    Speed never slumps.
Case in point, first inning he hit a topper to third base, would have been a 5-3 putout on everybody but maybe 5 or 6 others in the game today, Trout turns it into a single. Then he steals second.

What he wind up today 3 for 5, with a double? I had to work all day, had it on the radio most of the game.
