    DFoster Wednesday Picks/Leans 81-64-3, +34.21 units

    Play #1:

    Baltimore ML -137 --- 3 units

Uehara has been solid outside of one start and has been superior to Shane Loux. Angels do well when Welke is behind the plate...and he's a home ump with a 36-15 record in his last 51 games.

    SD/COL 10.5 over -108 --- 2 units

The umpire trends over, the Rockies offense is clicking and killed Correia last year (7ER in 2IP), and Cook is struggling with his control. The two teams are totaling an average of 10.81 over their last 5 games against right handers and the Padres have hit the ball very well when coming off a win.

    FLA Marlins ML +164 --- 1 unit
FLA Marlins rev RL +268 --- .5 units

Josh Johnson is a solid starter, not as good as Johan, but solid. When a solid starter comes out with a line like this, I like to take a chance. Johnson has already shut down the Met offense once and I hope to see it again tonight as the Marlins take 2 in a row.

    #4

    TEX/OAK 10.5 over -108 --- 3 units

The Rangers are KILLING left handed pitching lately at a .344 clip, averaging almost 9 runs/game against them. Padilla has been terrible this year and should hand Oakland a handful of runs. The umpire, Campos, is a HUGE over ump going 17-4-2 in his last 23.

I'm going to start counting ML/RL bets of the same team as 0-1 or 1-0 when results are the same unless they have different results.

Baltimore is a real heavy play for me. Almost took the r/l but wimped out to a measily, ml. lol . Lets start this afternoon out right.

I'm going with a no play on the PIT/MIL game. PIT has been dominated by the Brewers in the past and with Doumit and McClouth out, I see this as a no play. This would be a for sure play if McClouth were hitting today, but I'm a believer in Gallardo and the Brewers find a way to win when playing the Bucks.

Agreed. I love the O's today. I wish I could cap games at night while at home so I could grab the better lines...if only by a bit. With as much as I'm betting now, it wouldn't affect my bottom line much. I don't know what the opening line was for the Baltimore game, but I suspect it was a bit better than the -137 I got it at.

I could of sworn it was -128 last night but I could be wrong. I got it at -157.

    Leaning:

    SEA ML
SEA/CHW under, maybe under in first half --- umpire is heavy under guy and both starters are solid

I'm looking into it in more depth to make a final play/no play

Foster..I like the under in the milwaukee, mets, and white sox games. Can you give me your input on those please? Thank you!

I'm actually looking putting some coin on the Mets under.

Milwaukee under looks pretty solid as well.

White Sox game is tough. The ump is an under guy, otherwise I was going to play the SEA TT 4.5 over. I'm not a huge believer in Floyd and think Bedard has turned it back around. I'll probably go with the SEA ML since the Sox are hitting around .200 against lefties in the last 5 games.

    Play #5:

    NYM/FLA under 3.5 in first 5 innings -116 --- 1 unit

I went with the first half because of the Marlins terrible bullpen...with a total set this low, a bullpen can be a killer. 3.5 is really low, but for 1 unit, I'll go with it.

That's a nice bet. I laid off it as I try not to bet NYM games, as I am less objective with my hometown team.

Mets and Marlins. 1st inning 2 triples and a home run! And a bunt single! This sounds like a hell of game to be watching! And on top of that with these 2 guys throwing!

    Yeah...though not a fan of losing...even if it's just a 1 unit wager. I'm hoping things turn around today/tonight.

I actually hedged my bet in the Marlins game when they were up 2-1. At matchbook they had live betting and I made a bet of 1 unit on NYM +144 and someone took it unexpectedly. So for whoever wins i come out ok, I make .44 units if the Mets win and .64 units if the Marlins win. I put .5 units on the FLA rev runline so, either way...I can only make money on this one.

    Smart man!

I've been waiting on PIT to get a run across.....I am a bit concerned about my -1.5..... I'm hoping PIT can get to the bullpen, as they aren't doing much against Gallarado.

Wow, Gallardo hits his second home run to take the lead 1-0...I wish I were able to watch the game.

There is a thread that talks about how to see the game (I saw reference to it in the no-hitter thread). I assume it is through ANT.tv or similar.

    Cubs ML -112 --- 1.5 units

I like Dempster to have a solid game even though his splits say different. The DBacks are 1-4 in Davis's last 5 starts.

It's becoming apparent that I need to leave my Cubs alone...when I bet on them, they suck.

These last three days have been rough to watch.

There were too many variables in that game....both teams are so up and down, so I decided to lay off.

I'm eying up some of the 7pm games, but none really jump out (I have -1.5 CIN, 1 unit....but that's it).

I like Philly quite a bit but hate laying over -160, I'm going to look at team totals or the run line.

    PHI TT over 5.5 -102 --- 2 units

The Phils have been crushing lefties and have been scoring a significant amount of runs. I don't see Scott Olsen slowing this offense down...more like making them even hotter.
