    The stupidity of MLB managers

Bruce Bochy is widely regarded as one of the best in baseball, and normally I agree. But up 5-4 in the 8th tonight and pitching to Quentin? He is literally the only threat San Diego has, and the only way the Pads can get back into this game is if he homers (which he already had once tonight). Bochy elects to pitch to him, Quentin ties the game with another homer, and the Giants go on to lose in the 9th.

I had the Pads. Thanks for handing me that one BB.

Carlos Quentin's cumulative WAR in his past 3 seasons with the White Sox: 2.1
Carlos Quentin's WAR in 5 games so far with the Padres: 0.8

moving to the NL made so much difference to him

1 run game no point walking the guy and putting the go ahead run at the plate even if it is the Padres

    Nice win though for you

Normally I would agree. But it's the Padres. They have 1 threat to tie the game with one swing.

lot of regrettable managerial decisions today

Bobby V takes Lester out after giving up a leadoff single in the 7th inning. 5 of the next 6 batters reach base and Lester's lead gets blown.
He only had 99 pitches too, premature move.

He has played in like 5 games. How can you tell from such a small sample size?

didnt mean it seriously, he was drafted and debuted for an NL team after all. but you cant tell me thats not an amusing stat. he played 300+ games with the white sox for a 2.1 WAR!
