Momentum from last night's big win should carry the Dodgers tonight in Los Angeles when they host the Pirates.
The Los Angeles Dodgers have got to be riding a huge emotional high after last night's dramatic win over San Diego to put them back into first place in the NL West, and we are going to bank on that momentum and a series of fundamental factors to back the Dodgers in this one.
LA starts southpaw Hong-Chih Kuo who has been stellar in his only two starts for the Dodgers this year, giving up only two earned runs in 12 innings, including a 3-hit shutout over the NY Mets. The Pirates have been absolutely miserable against left-handed starting pitching this season, going just 12-35. Furthermore, they are hitting just .244 and averaging 3.9 runs/game on the road this season in route to a gruesome 22-53 record.
Pittsburgh starter Ian Snell has shown some signs of being a decent major league pitcher this season, but recent form shows he has had just one quality start in his last five outings and has a lofty 10.50 ERA lifetime against the Dodgers.
After parking seven home runs last night, we really like the Dodgers' chances in this one behind their rookie lefty.
Play: Dodgers -165
