    Yankees +129

Bombers are red-hot, Hughes actually showing signs of life and you rarely get NYY at any kind of + number, let alone this much. Definitely worth considering.

What are the Angels? I see tremendous value here with Weaver.

+130 with 2 equally hot teams when you have hughes facing Weaver is not a favorable matchup. You're looking at nearly a 2.50 difference in starter ERA

Granted they aren't the same opponents, but over their last four starts:

    Hughes: 3-1 record, 25.2 IP, 8 ER, 23 K
    Weaver: 2-1 record, 24.1 IP, 12 ER, 12 K

2 of these 3 wins for hughes was Kansas City and Seattle at home

Hughes hasn't had an era below 5 in a couple seasons. The odds of him continuing to pitch as well as he did in may are very small

Hughes has always had plus stuff. He was a major prospect coming up. His problem has always been between his ears.

That's true for literally a few hundred baseball players in the history of the league. No real reason to think he can put it together all of a sudden I would say

I don't think he'll be terrible, my guess is maybe 3 runs in 6 innings, Question is can the yanks score 3 or 4 runs off Weaver? Keep in mind Weaver's home ERA is about 2.20 last 3 seasons. He's very very hard to hit at home at that big ballpark

    I ended up playing angels - 138

Weaver's home record recently is just awesome. Not too often you get a price like this and I'll take it everytime

Jered Weaver's results against good offenses at home last 2 seasons

2012 Baltimore (Very good team so far) - win
    2011 NYY - win
    2011 Texas - win
    2011 Texas - win
    2011 NYY - win
2011 Toronto (Good offensive squad) - win

Angels are 6-0 last 2 seasons in his matchups against teams with good offenses at home. Sorry not taking + 130 against Weaver unless you give me Justin Verlander

Yanks are a dog and the public is not pounding them. Hughes may give up 3-4 runs but Yanks can get 2-3 off Weaver and blast the Angels bull pen late for a win.

Weaver hasn't even given up a single run at home in 3 out of 4 starts this year and had a 1.84 era at home last year. 2-3 runs are not guaranteed, not at all

As far as bullpen goes, the Angels have an awesome closer and a couple solid relievers as set up men. Weaver usually goes very deep into games as well

Not a big fan of fading the Dream Weaver at home....

Also, the Angels offense is starting to pick it up. I might take the Angels -1.5.

Halo's looking to build on momentum - got the ace on the mound at home vs a team you cant help but get up for.... the yanks lose tonight imo - Line is where is should be - place will be packed a far cry from what its like in oakland.

I would handicap this closer to - 160 for LAA

I think the 2 teams will have similar records at the end of the year - 120-30 is just homefield advantage with 2 even teams. You gotta account of the huge difference in starting pitcher matchup

stats and handicapping are a flat out waste of time. it's a factored into the line. get yourself a good paid line service and be able to tell the difference between real and phony movement and roll the cash in. it's as simple as that.

Which is why there are guys like Hawley and Acoochy who hit 65% on a sample size of 100-150 plays relying on just stats and handicapping?

Another guy hit 58% on a sample size of 500 plays just relying on handicapping

Weaver out, Angels give the yankees a gift of 3 runs with 2 errors and they end up giving it all back and another run in the first inning

geeze I wish I could bet at bet365 for baseball. You could kill them off the shit they offer. Right now they have yankees +235. That's ridiculous only down a single run when the Angels ace isn't even on the field.
