It looks as though the Detroit Tigers aren't ready to roll over for the Twins in the AL Central just yet, as evidenced by their 17-2 thrashing of the Baltimore Orioles last night.
Tonight, Detroit starts southpaw Nate Robertson who, despite just a 10-10 record, has a nifty ERA of just 3.84, good for 10th in the American League. Baltimore, tonight's opponent, has been absolutely atrocious vs left-handed pitching this season, posting an ugly 14-32 mark.
Furthermore, the O's in general looks like they've mailed it in this season, winning just 2 of their last 12 ballgames. Tonight's starter Kris Benson missed his last start due to strep throat and may not quite have 100% of his strength back. He sports a 5.22 ERA on the road this season and the Orioles have lost 8 of his last 10 starts.
