Washington winning 8-0 would do nothing at all to support you sayIng there is value in them at -230, that's just a cold hard fact buddy.

    what is this based on?

if the nationals win this game let's say 75% of the time, there is no value in the line?

A -500 line can have value if the favorite wins it more than 85% of the time. It's all about picking lines where the team has a better chance to win than the numbers indicate

    Again, unreal.

You can't be an actual person. This has to be an SBR mod fvcking around with an account.

From the hundreds of thousands of MLB games that have been played over the years. It's based on that, that I can tell you with over 99.9% confidence that it's impossible for the Nationals to have a 75% chance of winning that game in that exact situation going in.

While I never pay juice over the -150 range, I disagree with anyone who claims that situations do not exist where heavy favorites hold value. We see it all the time. Had the Nationals opened at -180 and closed at -210, the efficiency of the market would have confirmed such value. I am certainly not agreeing with the ridiculous chalk-loving mentality of the OP, however, anyone who says that value cannot exist on big favorites is not being accurate.

if your laying those odds shouldn't you think they are gonna win by atleast 2? there is no value in that, take the points or buy the hook

Of course value can exist higher up. Not usually in baseball though. And as Brahma has displayed, he has no idea what value is. He just refuses to admit that a -200 + team will ever lose.

i agree with love the action to some degree, but you are probably better off going against these games for the most part. the fact it dipped over 30 cents from the opener is proof that this was definitely not one of those times.

    I didn't. I said -230 in this situation.

This guy is acting like the Nationals were equivalent to a 10 point football favorite lol. That's why it's so comical.

    based on what?

the brewers won 71% of their home games last year and that includes matchups against superior teams where they had an inferior pitcher starting

What do you base it on that a team can't win 75% of games in a certain situation? The yankees have won 75% of CC Sabathia's starts since he put on the yankees uniform

no actually I don't like that line. Orioles are a good team at home and the pitcher they're starting is good too

Only other line I really like is Dodgers at home against Arizona and Chicago at home with red hot jake peavy starting

Fading idiots never works b/c idiots win sometimes.

But because of the heavy juice he always pays, fading Brahma could be pretty profitable.
