Halladay at -107 vs. Tommy Hanson

Thoughts on this game? First instinct is to hammer Philly. Halladay is in a different league than Hanson (never been a fan personally) and the Phils own the Braves. Halladay has only lost to ATL once in his career and has an ERA well under 2. Kind of figured this line would open at -120 though.

He isn't? 1.95 ERA so far -- pretty damn solid.

Halliday is fine, the Phillies are not. If you are missing Utley and Howard it is a problem.

Agree somewhat. Their offense is undoubtedly anemic. With that being said, in this "elite" pitching matchup, I think Hanson is much more hittable. Always has been. He's a very good pitcher, but he's not in the same league as Halladay and I think the line will continue to reflect that as the day wears on (now at -113).

Philly bats have not been helping Halladay and the other PHI SP this year, thats the main problem.

They seem to be hitting fine for Hamels and Worley.

Hanson is in the same boat. He's got more question marks than Halladay if you ask me.

Low scoring game that could go either way, Braves have been slightly better and at home. I think the line is about where it should be.

But you don't watch the phillies every night like I do so you wouldn't know that his velocity has been down and he is trying to get by on his movement and location. He hasn't really faced a good offense all year either. I still love Doc and think he will be fine but trust me, he's a little off. Also, 10 BB through 5 starts is far more than usual.

Didnt look like it when he threw 4 straight balls to Juan fucken Pierre, which end up stealing 2nd and tying the game.

He also ****** up the RL the other night with 2 straight wild pitches

He's still young. A lot of ups and downs. When he's on, he's arguably the most dominant closer in the game.

Yea, but i just dont see it from him. Actually, don't see it from any closer really seems this year. Only closer I could prolly turn off the tv and know I got the win in a 1 run save is still Mariano Rivera. I don't think anyone can argue that
