    Mets are the very logical play this afternoon (-115)

    Love the Mets (actually I dislike the Mets) but like the thread title says, the Metropolitans are clearly the play today.

    Marlins are playing lackluster baseball, losers of four straight, choked away the JJ game, didn't even show up last night, Buehrle pitched well enough to win, I watched him pitch last night, Buehrle deserved better.

    I can't find a reason why not to back the Mets this afternoon, Niese is off to a very nice start, beat the Braves in his first start, giving up two hits, shut out the Giants in six innings in start #2, got a ND against the Giants, pitching well in that one too.

    Morrison is the only one who really hits Niese, rest of the Fish lineup pretty much has had no success off of Niese.

    Nolasco isn't a gas can, he's winning, but his last two starts he couldn't get out of the sixth inning, throwing a ton of pitches, but his overall numbers after three starts isn't that bad, however he's got a crappy bullpen behind him, David Wright is red hot, not to mention Wright makes Nolasco his very own personal meat puppet, Wright's numbers off of Nolasco are 21 for 54 lifetime *four* homers, 13 RBI's .389
    Daniel Murphy owns him too, 6 for 17 .353. the who Mets team hits .300 off of Nolasco (well .297, but who's nitpicking)

    Another thing I've noticed, I am the furthest thing from a Mets fan, they aren't going to win any pennants this year, but they have been putting forth an effort in every game so far this year, the team plays with sense of pride, they try, they try hard, doesn't mean they are going to win 100 games, but they try, Miami looks like they really don't give a crap, Reyes looks like he doesn't give a crap, Han-Ram too...........

    Niese is the better pitcher in the match up today, Mets are at home, Mets are playing with a pride lately, Miami is a terrible road team, I like the Mets this afternoon, at -115, I like them a lot today, wouldn't surprise me one bit if the Marlins mail this one in today while saying "let's get the *uck out of NYC"

    Hondo, this terrible handicapper that gives his picks in the NY Post everyday, is on the Mets. He's like the Brandon Lang of newsprint. Beware!

    Yeah...he's like 0 for his last 7 though. Whenever I'm in doubt, I just fade Hondo for a day. It almost always works out.

    I don't blame you, but watch, he'll pitch his usual 5 decent innings, walk his 3 or 4, get the pitch count to 95, get lifted in the sixth, watch his brutal bullpen pour gas on his effort.

    Niese => Nolasco

    Come on Thole, ONE TIME BIG BOY!

    Mets losing 2-1, bottom of the ninth, one out, Mets have two on Wright on second, Ike Davis on first, Josh Thole up, Josh has been wicked hot.

    Heath Bell on the bump, need Thole big time here !
