    wednesday bases

    Favorites (3-2)(+0.54)
    Underdogs (0-2)(-2.00)
    Parlays (1-1)(+0.67)

    For The Season (4-5)(-0.79)

3-3 losing 0.16 units last night. Good night with favs going 3-1 and picking up 1.84 units, but dropped both dogs losing two units. Did not play any parlays last night. Working my night tonight so putting all my plays in early this morning.

Florida -133 vs Washington……………..I have mentioned since the start of the season to watch out for the Marlins. They are getting solid pitching and their bats are pounding the ball right now. Throw in the fact they are playing at home and playing the Nats and you are only laying 133, makes this a solid play again tonight. Nats are due and that makes me a little nervous, but I am sticking with these Marlins for a little while.

White Sox -120 vs Kansas City………I am not buying all that talk about KC and how improved they will be this year. Sure they might not suck as bad as usual, but they are still the Royals and I am not crazy enough to take them on the road unless I am getting them as a huge dog. Gavin Floyd pitching for the Sox and I have always been a fan of his back when he was a Phillie. He has a ton of talent but does not always show it. I just see a ton of value getting Chicago at home at these odds. Win or lose I have no regrets with this pick.

Phillies -115 vs Atlanta…………Yet another slow start for the Phillies. Why they suck in April I don’t know, but they do. Phils are due. I think Joe Blanton might be the most under rated pitcher on this Phillies staff, he was a great pickup from Oakland last year. Atlanta pitcher Vazquez won't be starting his Braves career in an optimal environment. The flyball pitcher, who has surrendered at least 25 homers each of the past seven seasons, has gone 0-2 with a 9.90 ERA in his two career starts at Citizens Bank Park. Phils bats might just come to life today and I don’t see Atlanta sweeping them.

Parlay risking 1 unit to win 1.58 units

    Yankees over Baltimore
    Minnesota over Seattle

Yankees just have too much talent and I don’t think Baltimore is that good even though they won game one. Pitching matchup greatly favors Yanks here.

Had Minny last night and taking them again. Seattle usually sucks on the road while Minny is usually one of the better home teams.

Parlay risking 1 unit to win 1.50 units

    Dodgers over San Diego
    St Louis over Pittsburgh

Still fading the Padres even though I lost fading them last night. I love the Pirates this year, but I don’t like Zach Duke. Big pitching advantage for the Cards in this one.

The season is still young and it takes a while to get a feel for many teams. My plans and hopes this first two weeks is bet a decent amount of games as it makes me pay attention and learn more about the teams and pitchers and just hope to stay around the even mark in units.

    Good Luck Everybody!!

If you didn't know, Koji Uehara is making his major league debut for the Orioles on Wednesday after 10 years of playing in Japan, and he has nasty stuff. Might not be the easiest night for the Yankees to get the W.

    Good Luck.
