The Dodgers have been one streaky team this year. We all remember the 1-13 start after the break and then the 17-1 run.
Recently, the team saw a seven-game win streak end Sunday vs Colorado and then Monday and Tuesday, the Dodgers lost consecutive games in Milwaukee, to a Brewers team that entered the three-game series having dropped 10 straight games.
Derek Lowe goes for LA tonight and after getting named NL pitcher of the month in August (4-1 with a 1.69 ERA in six appearances), Lowe beat Colorado on September 1, 6-3. While there's little doubt Lowe is pitching well, I'm going against LA here.
Chris Capuano was a late addition to this year's All Star game with a 10-4 mark but has won just once in 10 post-break starts. However, a closer look shows a 6.75 ERA in his first five starts after the break, compared to a 1.97 ERA over his last five outins. LA's slide continues for at least one more game.
