Anyone thinking of fading the jays the first few weeks?

So many times i see teams that rule the spring but cant do nothing when the real deal starts.

I think they have a good team and talk in town is of high hopes but local teams here usually letdown.

can't wait for tomorrow to see weather, ump for Jays/Tribe. under could be good, Tribe has been terrible on offense in spring training. flag in right center should tell the story with these two pitchers.

Add the astros to the fading list, they don't really look much better this year than they did last

Word on the street is that the Jays are one confident bunch... the Astros fade is a no brainer though.

astros fade is not a no brainer. they can cash as +175 or higher dogs often enough. laying -180 in bases is nuts.

I just can't picture the tribe beating them. Plus masterson has been complete trash during the spring. He had a 9 ERA in spring. I know its just spring but still...

I'm actually going to be on the Jays tomorrow. Everyone knows how they did in the spring. But I'm at least riding them tomorrow and if they fukk me then so be it.

Masterson has awful mechanics and no command. He's 50% to get absolutely waxed. I spread across Jays ml and on -1.5(+145) before sharpness reigned.

Oh but as far as the OP...I think people are way to high on the Jays. But this game is its own animal.

The Blue Jays are certainly not the Maple Leafs or The Craptors.

Jays have some big bats this year and they really solidified their bullpen.

Granted, it's very rare for a team to dominate spring training and then win it all, but this is a really young team and I like their chances vs just about anyone.

Indians cant score for nothing, under if you like Indians IMO. Cubs look like the best value tomorrow. Think the books have Strasburg way over priced already.

Quick what was the last year the Jays had a winning road record? If you guessed 2003 then you probably already knew that betting them as favorites on the road is a losing proposition. Not to mention didn't the Indians win like 14 games in a row at home at the beginning of last year?

Jays also have a solid home Opening day record. So if you fade maybe wait for game 2 or 3 against Boston.

However, they do have a rookie in Alverez scheduled to pitch the home opener who will be pitching infront of a very large, loud mixed crowd at the Rogers Centre... not sure the effect on a rookie but this is really the only day during the year that the park will be loud.

Anyone else from Toronto knows what I mean.

Masterson has struggled in Spring while Romero has looked great. Masterson allowed 23 hits and 18 earned runs for an ERA of 9.00 over 18 innings. Romero allowed just 2 hits, 0 runs and had 10 strikeouts with just 2 walks over 11 innings.
