Marlins will not be as good as people think

Josh Johnson is a beast, I'll give em that...

Sanchez and Nolasco have their moments on the mound, but are mediocre pitchers

They all say "This is Hanley's team." He is a horrible leader.

Reyes will be overrated, and definitely not have a season like last year

Buehrle can eat up innings but he gives up a load of runs

    Zambrano blows roosters.

    Weak bullpen except for Bell

Their staff is too weak to be a really good team and I don't think their offense will be good enough to make up for the pitching

yes, the lineup is nice. But this team will be like the Twins 2 or 3 years ago (I'm just comparing them to the twins cuz I follow them closer than any other team)

Twins with Span when he was batting over .300, Orlando Hudson, Mauer, Morneau, Cuddyer, Kubel, Hardy, Delmon Young and Jim Thome....and they still couldn't do anything cuz their pitching sucks. Pitching is too important...look at the Giants. Their offense sucks year after year but they are good cuz their pitchers are good

check out that depth chart, they have a really good team this year, they have the best lineup in the NL and a solid closer, there staff is a little weak but if josh johnson comes back healthy they'll atleast have one ace too

This is pretty much what I've been saying. but I still think they will be lucky to even make playoffs with the wildcard. Phillies will probably win the division even with Utley's knee probs. Depends if Howard comes back from his Achilles injury and I would take the Braves over the Marlins too

It's going to be a decent race, but I have a nice sized future on Braves u87.5 wins. My favorite, and most expensive future, outside of the Detroit WS +2000, which I placed for the purpose of hedging.

Marlins could win that division as easy as the Phillies.

Agreed they have a very good team, however I think Texas and NYY have better lineups, but agreed on Marlin line up is solid.

Agree there bullpen also suks but Stanton might be the best hitter this year I'd find some prop on him and take over

The question is who has the best offensive line up in the east? Marlins or Nationals?

They got some pitching, Buehrle is a mule, he'll give you 200 innings and 10+ wins, Anibal Sanchez has game, Zambrano is the 'x' factor, if he keeps his head on straight for 27 starts, he could produce.

Check the standing now. I feel good about the Marlins outlasting the fading Braves, the overachieving Nats, and the impossible Mets. Phillies might not recover if Halladay is down for the year.

Innings count for strausberg and no closer could spell doom for the nats.

pretty much nailed it on the head except for Buehrle this year...though he could very easily end with an ERA around 4.25

Johnson is about to go on a heater

team is awful...bell cost us 10 games and dunn another 6...right there we're in first in division and atleast 4 up in wild card...team is awful...hanley is a prick and was a cancer so it wasn't a big loss with him especially when he's done shit for 2 years now...reyes was overpaid as we all know and shows, bell was terrible and just sucks, big z was a good addition should have 4 more wins if not for bell, and worst signing was john buck last year...completely inept as a hitter but does call a decent game and can get decent amount of runners out stealing.
