Mets 61% - The loss of Carlos Beltran will not hurt the Mets as much as the loss of Chipper Jones will hurt Atlanta. Although Chuck James was crushed by the Mets in his last start against them, he probably rates a bit higher than Steve Trachsel. However, the enormous bullpen disparity in this game favoring the Mets gives a huge statistical swing in favor of the Mets, and they have value as a modestly-priced favorite.

Angels 70% - Even though Baltimore starter Rodrigo Lopez has done well in his career at Angel Stadium, he is not an effective pitcher in general right now. Jered Weaver will face a modest lineup tonight, one he handled easily in his first start against them. He does very well against mediocre lineups at home, and he is likely to have a strong start here. After that, the Angels have a quality bullpen to close the game out. The Angels should be able to get enough off of Lopez to head into the final innings with a small lead, which in this game will be difficult for Baltimore to overcome.
