Figure now is a good enough time to get a thread going, idea is to have 3-5 bets everyday of the season. I won't even attempt at doing totals as I have zero grasp on it. Will be a TON of Score in the 1st Inning bets for this season, as well as heavy favorites covering the -1.5r spread. From what I gather most like to bet strictly ML, I will have a few, but it won't be a majority.
Almost every loss will be followed by a chase of 3 (maybe 4, but that will be a rarity) games. I do have a procedure for what constitutes a bet for that day, whether it's the matchup, my personal feelings, or based off a few of the spreadsheets of information I've been building for a month or so. The procedure will probably be discussed further on in the season if things take off like I'm hoping they do.
All lines will be as of the post the current 5Dimes lines as right now that is the only book I will be placing bets on.
If I fail I'll give a few special posters on here some good ammo to shoot me down with when I continue to troll their threads. I have specific goals for the every week/month/entire season and those will be discussed later on so I don't look like a complete idiot if I don't reach a third of what I'm hoping. I don't expect anyone really to tail me for several weeks as I work my way up to a known name here on the boards, hopefully by the end of May I'll have gained some followers.
No score in the 1st inning Marlins/Cards 1U (-140)
First (real) game of the season, batters will be trying to feel out Lohse and Johnson, expect a relatively quick and clean 1st inning. Will almost never make this bet in a Cardinals matchup, but it looks like a good spot nonetheless.
Kershaw should shutdown that crap Padre lineup. Looking at Kemp to get the year started off right with a big opening day. Organization should be in high spirits after McCourt was given the boot, hopefully it follows onto the field.
Ellsbury, Pedroia, Miggy, Fielder, Avilla, Gonzo, Ortiz, Peralta, Youk. I know it's Verlander and Lester going at it, but I don't see Lohse type numbers for either of these two, thinking both don't go past 6th inning with the score being 3-3 or 3-4.
Lot of people tried to be sharp tonight and take the Royals +1.5. If your opening day pitcher is Bruce Chen (and he pitched amazing tonight) you don't deserve to win or lose by a single run against the Angels in their home and season opener.
Well I had no score 1st in the indians/blue jays game and of course I sleep right through the beginning of the game so no chance to post it beforehand. Sadly this will probably not be the first time.
Twins making the Orioles look like a team of all-stars again.
Like someone mentioned in an earlier thread, fielding in this game is an abortion, it's like they wrapped the horribleness of the Twins team and put it all over the hands of both teams out in the field. Lost the small parlay bet and I think it'll come down to the errors.
Worley is a better than decent pitcher, after looking like the A's for two games I have to believe the Phillies will score upwards of 3 or 4 runs tomorrow and eek out a win.
I was looking at that game also and decided to take a shot on the under 7.5 instead of taking the Phillies w/ how anemic the Philly bats seem to be. GL and hope we both hit.
