The Yankees are 13-3 the last 16 times they hosted the Twins. Facing a struggling Carlos Silva, they should be able to build upon that record this evening.
Silva is 0-3 in his last four starts with a 7.15 ERA, and hasn't won since Aug. 5. For the season he is now 3-7 with a an awful 8.90 ERA and 2.011 WHIP. Lidle comes off a poor outing. However, he had delivered back to back quality starts prior to that, including six shutout innings against the Red Sox. Look for him to bounce back and outpitch Silva as the home team grabs the series opener.
