    ttwarriors 2012 fantasy baseball predictions

    Sleepers: late round picks
    1. BRENNAN BOESCH
    2.
    LONNIE CHISENHALL
    3.
ADDISON REED, P, CHICAGO WHITE SOX
    4
    ZACK COZART, SS, CINCINNATI REDS
    5.
LUCAS DUDA, OF, NEW YORK METS:
6.Edinson Volquez: sd chargers: pitch him at home
7 Ryan Roberts: can play 2nd and 3rd

    mid round studs:
    1. Jordan Zimmerman: Washington
    2. Brandon McCarthy: opening day p of oakland
    3. Want to wait for your 1st baseman that can also play
2nd and outfield? Draft Michael Cuddyer: Will have his best season ever in colorado
    4. Howie Kendrick: 2nd and outfield: breakout season
    5. Doug Fister: more wins and great whip
    6. Hiroki Kuroda; pitching for yankees
7 Arod: if you have done any mocks he is the 8th 3rd baseman taken
Please don't draft without doing mocks on espn or yahoo. Only a moron
would do that, so yes i expect half reading this to do no mocks. Average pick 89
    8. Michael pinada
    9. Gio Gonz
    10. Scott Baker: not alot of wins but good whip

You really can't go wrong with anyone in round 1, just have a strategy in mind and don't be
afraid to reach for a player if you want even if projected to go a round and a half later.

Hitting does not win fantasy. pitching does not win fantasy
    Balance wins

    Breakout players you should draft

    1. Brett Lawrie: 3rd Toronto
    2. Craig Kimbrel: Alot wait for closers but this guys saves, era, whip and strikeouts
make him worth taking. Take craig in round 5 or 6 and then don't draft another closer
    until your last picks
    3. Matt moore: p for tampa
    4. Ichrio: yes ichiro: he will be batting 3rd this year and you can't go wrong with
his sb, average runs, and will get the most hr and rbi of his career.
    5. Jeremy Hillickson: tampa
    6. Matt Latos cincy
    7 Howie Kendrick
    8 Michael Cuddyer
    9. If your okay in average: take nick swisher average pick 150
    10. Want to wait for your 2nd baseman or ss? Take neil walker or Scurato: average pick 169
    11. Joe Mauer; not a breakout year but considering he goes in round 11 in 12 team
leagues, he is well worth it, otherwise wait for your catcher. You can get a .300 batter
in salvatore perez in the last round.

Overrated players but will still have an impact: don't reach for any of these, only
    if they fall to you

1.Yu Darvish: alot of better guys you can draft. Yu's era and whip won't be the greatest.
    2. Mike Napoli: goes way too early: won't play everyday. stay away. Fill your other spots first
    3. Shaun Marcum
    4. Dee gordon: sb is overrated in fantasy: plenty to go around. if you draft for balance
you won't need gordon and his 1 homerun.
    5. jordan Walden; era and whip is too high for a closer
    6. Carlos Marmol: pass
    7. Nick Markakus; Ive drafted him a few times in real and mocks. Not a bad player
but only take him if you need batting average

If you only draft 3 outfielders fill up those corners and middle infield first and there will
be plenty of outfielders to go around.

If you draft on espn and draft a ci mi and 5 outfielders don't wait too long for your
outfield or you'll be in trouble

Draft guys that can play more than one position or will have multiple position eligibilty

Never draft closers early unless you go the kimbrel way and then take closers later.

Nothing wrong with taking someone that gets spot saves. They get some wins, usually
have good strikeouts, era and whip

Late round closer and holds help:Addison Reed, grant balfour,
sergio santos, matt thorton,Johny venters, tyler clippard

Stay away from Adum Dunn: don't do it

    Balance wins;
Last year i won homeruns and didn't have a single player over
31 homeruns on my team but almost everyone on my team had
    over 20.

my last mock draft: Projected 1st

Jacoby Ellsbury, Dustin Pedroia, Hunter pence, brett lawrie
craig Kimbrel, Michael cuddyer, Jeremy Hillickson, Michael pineda
billy butler, Joe mauer, Yu Darvish, Cory Luebke, Marco Scutaro
Brandon Mccarthy, Martin Prado Ryan Roberts, Jason kubel
Peter Bourjos, tyler clippard, matt thorton, Delmon young
Addison reed, justin Morneau, salvadore perez,

Another mock All same except 1st 2 spots
    joey Votto, Evan longoria

More later: Ask all questions here.

    i predict playoffs will be
    phillies, reds, arizona,marlins, sf:
Tigers,Angels, yankees, tampa, boston, 3 nl east teams

    Sleeper team; washington

    World series
    Phillies over angels

Duda and zimmerman are sleepers, kurodas numbers will be worse since he is now in hitter friendly yankee stadium. Other sleepers this year are jake peavy, bud norris, brandon beachy, brendan morrow on the hill and lorenzo cain is a great option for centerfield. Jemile weeks is a great 2nd base option late in the draft. Also a sleeper closer option is now sean marshall due to madson having tommy john.

I think Adam Dunn could be a decent risk in certain leagues/drafts.

what do you think about Mauer, Neil Walker, Pedro Alvarez, Gordon Beckham, Starlin Castro

I think Adam Dunn will do better this year. Some idiot in my league took him way to early tho but if u can get him later and have bench room take him and let him sit. See how hes doing and sub him in. If he not so hot just drop him.

I also like (and took) Andrew Jackson as a sleeper pick. i think his SO will drop this year especially having Fielder on the team.

I also got Dee Gordon, I dont know much about him or why I took him lol.

    My team:

    C Yadier Molina, StL C
    1B Miguel Cabrera, Det 1B
    3B Ryan Roberts, Ari 2B, 3B
    2B/SS Dee Gordon, LAD SS
    IF Prince Fielder, Det 1B
    LF Matt Holliday, StL LF
    CF Austin Jackson, Det CF
    RF Nelson Cruz, Tex RF
OF Carlos Lee, Hou 1B, LF
    UTIL David Ortiz, Bos DH
    Bench Starlin Castro, ChC SS
    Bench Marco Scutaro, Col SS
    Bench Adam Lind, Tor 1B
Bench Jason Kubel, Ari RF, DH
    Bench Neil Walker, Pit 2B

    SP Clayton Kershaw, LAD SP
    SP David Price, TB SP
    SP C.J. Wilson, LAA SP
    SP Brandon Morrow, Tor SP
    RP Heath Bell, Mia RP
    RP Andrew Bailey, Bos RP

What do you guys think? Its an 8 team Roto league. This is my first Roto league, Ive always done H2H in the past so I am not expecting to win, more of a learning experience this year.

I think he generally tosses mid 90s but hes throwing low 90s right now. I think his max so far this spring was 94 last tuesday.

He started off his fantasy football thread by saying taking an elite QB early was dumb. I played in two leagues and the guys who won each one were the guys who took Aaron Rodgers in the first round. Not a coincidence...

    Sleepers

1 Mike thomas. He is now the #1 wr in Jackonsville
After a quiet rookie season, Mike Thomas made great strides last year and became Garrard's most trusted receiver; often being the man Garrard looked to when he needed a first down. Thomas' numbers aren't eye popping, but if you're in a point per reception league, he is most definitely someone you want to draft. While Thomas isn't as good as Wes Welker or Steve Smith (NYG), he is a very similar receiver. Small, but strong, runs great routes and has great hands, allowing him to catch a high number of passes, even if they aren't for big yards. Thomas will be going into his 3rd NFL season, which is usually when a WR breaks out. Last season he led the Jags in receptions (66) and yards (820) and caught 4 TDs. Look for all those numbers to go up this year.

Mike Thomas had a terrible year, so his number one sleeper was sewer trash.

In fact, out of his 16 sleepers, only 3 were even productive. A couple didn't even play.

surprised longoria came back to you at the 2 spot, i wish you had one more closer but i guess since you only got 2 rp, thats good enough.

Crawford on bench is good and good trade bait. Probaly be your starter over markakis soon. Never cared for uggla but your average on other spots makes up for it.

Any good free agents? i figure probaly are at rp, rather have one of those on bench over leake pettite

we are a points h2h league so low avg for Uggla doesn't matter. Bailey (closer for boston) Street (closer for SD) bench have Belfour (closer for Oakland)

Yeah Crawford will be my starter for sure when he comes back and is healthy.

Yeah Longoria was there because we had a lot of pitchers go in the first two rounds. Pitchers score a lot in a head to head points league.

Not bad at all. Chapman might be the closer after not too long. Might be great value. Your pitching is quite suspect after your two studs but I do like McCarthy for value. The last 9 rounds except for Chapman is kinda shity but u never know. Harper probably won't put up great number once he comes up since he is so young, but u never know.

yeh max is 1500 innings, i always make a trade or 2

I'll add and drop sp with the best matchups with a couple spots. I took peralta and swisher because i
    needed some hr there.
I'll trade one of those 2 i got for a hitter or 2 along the line

wow really? I just figured any commissioner based league was like this. I have done this for football and baseball for like 7 years. Makes the pool much bigger. Put it this way, our baseball league was only $150 buy in with those same fees the last two years, we also have 4 yearly $100 awards and our prize pool was about $4000. I won two years in a row for a little more than $2000 each year. We pay 5 spots.
    1st 45%
    2nd 25%
    3rd 15%
    4th 10%
Toilet bowl winner 5% ( places 5-8 have their own losers bracket)

This year with us raising the entry to $250 we also are paying out a $50 weekly award to team high score. 22 weeks.

League gets much more competitive and also owners don't just pick up and drop every player they want when it costs them $5 a pop. I had the most league transactions last year so it cut into my winnings big time. I had like 30% more than the next guy lol
