Cubs vs. Pirates

The Pirates guaranteed themselves another non-winning season with their 81st loss of the season on Sunday.

However, the team has gone 20-21 since the break and while Pittsburgh is a dismal 17-48 on the road, the Pirates are 33-33 at home. That spells good news against the Cubs, who enter having lost seven of eight games recently and are just 27-40 on the road.

More good news comes Pittsburgh's way when looking at tonight's starters. Chicago goes with rookie Angel Guzman, making just his seventh career start. In six starts this year, he's 0-3 with a 5.84 ERA (team is 0-6). In three road appearances (two starts), he's allowed 16 hits and 12 ERs in 10 innings for a 10.80 ERA. Ian Snell goes for the Pirates and while he's been hit hard by the Cubs in two starts this year (0-2, 9.00 ERA) he's 11-8, 4.58 on the season. He's been Pittsburgh's best starter, as the team has won seven of his last nine starts, going 15-11 in his 26 starts this year.

Remember, this is a team that's 31 games under .500!
