    Blue Jays vs. Indians

    Blue Jays vs. Indians

AJ Burnett looks to be fully healthy which is a phrase rarely uttered. He has been on the DL more than just about any young pitcher in baseball.

He was a huge free agent signing for the Jays who is just now starting to show some dividends. In his last four outings he has allowed just 9 earned runs in 26.7 innings of work. But what has really impressed us is his ability to keep the ball in the park, always a concern when playing in Jacobs Field. He has permitted just 2 home runs in his last 8 starts and zero covering his last 5 games. The Blue Jays have been victorious in his last four outings.

Cleveland counters with Paul Byrd and his 5.68 home ERA. To his credit the Tribe always seems to hit well when he pitches here as witnessed by their 9-2 mark in his home starts. But that luck can't last forever and Toronto has the offensive lineup to tee him up. Byrd has allowed 7 hits or better in 10 straight games. That's consistently bad.

Byrd will bounce back after that terrible start against KC. I will take Cleveland.
