Why? Baltimore has about 50% of public bets on them, yet REAL movement is not occurring, Vegas is not worried!, Dodgers to win.

Game #2 PIT@STL We take the Cardinals RL -115 in this game, line movements suggest, you can also take the ML @ -150 but i'll make this pick for the RL.

Game # 3 OAK@MIN Let's take the Twins ML@-115, reading the movements!!

Game # 4 MIA@NYM I really want the Mets RL here but this reminds me not to be soooo greedy!! we take NYM ML @ -148..


Game # 5 LAA@TB if you'd ask me for my confidence level on this game, i'd say i'm 70% sure, still good enough. Let's take TB RL +135 wooo, again i wanted ML but making these picks based on the movement.


Other game, but take caution with this one, small bet, Texas Rangers RL @-125, this line confuses me a lot, but in the end it looks like Vegas is just trying to cover it's potential loss, small bet!

Other game, better feeling, KC RL -135 vs the Blue Jays, small bet on the Royals.

I'm basing it off of what it looks like when i read the movements in the morning, it doesn't matter what way a line moves, just remember that odds makers do this to try to level out the action, actually the earlier you read the movement (the correct way) the better it is so see what side vegas is going with.

So you're saying that you basically read the movement from the opening line within the first 8ish hours, and try to decipher which way vegas is trying to even out the money? Like the above poster said, what happens when someone comes in with large money later in the day? There is still another 6.5 hours before the Dodgers start. Just trying to understand a bit better. I read somewhere once that line movements were always the tell all sign but then once internet gambling came along, the books figured out they could move the line a bit and "trick" us into reading the wrong movements.

Agreed. TS not sure if youre a new gambler or not just basing on when joined here but if youre only going by whats "provided" by bet percentages then you should find another way to place sides, that aint gonna cut it. Its only percentages which isnt telling anything significant. Books dont know who's gonna win games. Why not cap the teams, pitchers, lineups, bullpen etc. Youll fair better. Stay away from high juiced ml's as anyone can lose on any given day. Like all sports youll fair better if you simply based on value.
