    Seattle Mariners (100)

    Seattle Mariners (100)

The Red Sox are on life support right now as they have still not fully recovered from the five-game sweeo they absorbed at the hands of the Yankees last weekend.

Boston has lost the first two games of this series to the Mariners, dropping the Sox to 5.5 games behind Minnesota in the wild card race. They have also lost eight of their last ten road games to fall to under .500 for the year away from home at 32-34. Kyle Snyder may be 3-2, but he has actually been terrible in six starts posting a bloated 6.23 ERA with a horrendous 1.72 WHIP.

As the Red Sox have quickly discovered, the Mariners have been a pesky team at home this year where they are a respectable 35-30. They have also surprisingly dominated the head-to-head series here in Seattle, going 7-2 in the last nine meetings with the Sox in this stadium. Cha Seung Baek did not pitch badly in hi first start of the year last week vs. the mighty Yankees, allowing three runs on only three hits with six strikeouts in five innings. He can be tough on a Boston lineup that has never faced him before.

    Play: Seattle Mariners.
