Absolutely. I've already handicapped the series and I have ATL favored in games 1 and 3 so hopefully they will get at least one of those.

Out of 10 possible sweeps today there were 4 with 3 of them resulting in future plays. The SDG/LAD matchup in May is only a 2 gm set but we have to track it. It will not qualify as a system play unless the Dodgers win those 2. I have it marked on the schedule for tracking purposes. Also there is one more possible sweep tomorrow. TAM has a 4th game at BOS.

    JM Upcoming plays

    04/16 ATL v NYM
    04/24 KAN @ CLE
    04/30 BAL @ NYY
    05/08 NYY v TAM
    05/11 SFO @ ARI
    05/16 SDG v LAD 2 gm
    05/28 BOS v DET
    07/06 MIN @ TEX
    07/16 MIN v BAL
    08/13 PIT v LAD
    09/10 MIL v ATL

I'll update again tomorrow. I will post the ATL/NYM play as unofficial but I will be playing it. GL all

    hello hagball,

how did you handicap ATL for games 1 and 3, can you explain? also, when will the RPI numbers be meaningful and what is the best source of the data?

    thanks!

thanks!!!! apologize for the foolish question but this is using moneyline bets, correct? what is the best money management system to use for JM's mlb system? Labbying?

this is my first time following this system, the NBA system did not work out bc my bookie did not allow for 3 points of buying, only a max of 2.

thanks for your help! looking forward to a (positive and) productive season.

I wonder how to play the MLB? I have never done it before, the only thing I have played is the 7/5 in NBA. Is it the same strategy? Or something else? Perhaps I am not the only one wondering so if someone could be so kind to explain once and for all how it is done, that would be higly appriciated.
    Thanks in advance

A lot of people handicap in different ways but I take all the fundamental stats that are available (espn website is a good source) and look at pitching matchups, run differential and streaks of wins and losses, team batting avg., onbase percentage and also the pitcher's whip, plus home and away. It gives me a pretty good idea of the strength of each individual game. That being said, it does not always translate into wins.

The rpi numbers will start to make some sense by the end of April.

Several websites have good info. I use espn, vegasinsider, scores and odds and don best.

There is a couple different ways to play JM MLB. Chase (Martingale) or labby are the most popular. There is labby information all throughout these threads and me personally, I chase. The chase method is explained in Morrison's rules.

Notes: I will be playing with the format a little as we get started into the season. I'll try to be as informative as possible without overdoing it. Also I will probably break down the V2 plays between official and unofficial this season. Last season I lumped them all into one. GL today everbody. I will be playing this series for one unit.

Another good source is S.I.com (Sports Illustrated). Go to MLB pitching probables. This will show pitching match ups for all series.

Also labby will be more profitable with this system seeing how 1 loss on a chase could wipe out your entire season.

I would probably take the -1 line instead of the juice on this series. -1 at (-115). On3 is on ATL for his home game stand as well. Besides starting pitcher, mets clearly have advantage in this game.

I'm sure it'll stay official if Atlanta wins one. If they don't, he'll come back and change it to unofficial after the fact. Typical Morrison BS.

Notes: Someone earlier mentioned that Morrison sent out an email calling this play official. I got the same email. He is calling it the first system play of the season. He does not say official or unofficial. We all know how this will go. If it wins it's official and if it loses he will come back and say the rpi was off and call it unofficial. Also note that Atlanta is a small favorite (less than -115) so according to JM's rules it should be bet on the alternate (+1.5) run line. That should put the juice well over -200. No thanks. I'll take my chances and play them as a small fav. GL all

P.S. We'll keep it unofficial. We will always play by the rules even when JM doesn't. He has always fudged the rules to suit his liking. We'll keep it real.

P.P.S. Also note Atlanta qualifies as a V2 play.
