Aaron Harang (13-8, 3.72 ERA) tries to win back-to-back outings for the first time since late June when he toes the slab for Cincinnati on Friday.

Harang beat Pittsburgh 5-1 on Sunday, giving up five hits and one run over seven innings to win for the first time in his last four starts.

With a win on Friday, Harang would tie the Cubs'
Carlos Zambrano for the NL lead in wins. His 13 wins are the most by a Cincinnati hurler since Jimmy Haynes went 15-10 in 2002.

The right-hander is 2-3 with a 3.90 ERA in five career starts against San Francisco.

Matt Morris (8-11, 4.67) will try to put an end to a four-game losing streak when he tops the hill for San Francisco. The right-hander won five straight outings from June 15-July 14, but has since posted a 5.98 ERA in seven starts.

Morris allowed eight hits and five runs in eight innings of a 5-2 loss to the Dodgers on Sunday.

Morris is 7-4 with a 4.08 ERA in 19 career games against the Reds.

The bottom line is Morris has been downright brutal over the past 6 weeks and we look for that to continue tonight. Harang is solid, but he also has been shaky the past couple of weeks.

Look for this one to go OVER the total.

There are quite a few 8.5 out there if you are playing the over. I happen to like the over also tonight.
