    Very odd signing. Next year when Vmart is back, and cant catch more than 30 games... what are you going to do.. you have 3 players who can only play 1st or DH. Fielder, Cabrera, Martinez.

    This is a huge price to pay Fielder to be a DH.

    Really surprised he's following in his dad's footsteps, given their relationship.

    I lived in Detroit during Cecil's era -- hope Prince can one-up him. I remember Prince as a 12-year-old hitting balls out of the old Tiger Stadium during batting practice.

    Gotta move Cabrera to 3rd in this case. Too bad they lost Victor for the year most likely. Would have been awesome to see all of that thunder in their batting order. Either way they will run away with the Central this season....Sox will be terrible and the Twinkies should be somewhat better but nowhere near good enough to compete.
