Vlad hit a bomb over the green monster and it went out of the park. That was the second of three homers over the green monster in that 3rd inning. Lackey has to love that.

the sox sure tried to make a game of it in the 5th inning, but the pitching couldn't stop the halo's from scoring.

What surprises me is how well John Lackey is pitching this year. The guy has been under the radar all year, and he is been lights out. We both know that is not the Lackey of old, he usually sent it in the 4th and 5th innings.
