    5 Year / $122 Million For Sabathia!!!!

Wow...another nice waste of money by the Yanks. The way he eats, he'll be lucky to be alive in 5 years.

Nice work Yanks, keep writing those checks

    Your point??

It adds another year to a contract that was too long to begin with for more moeny than he's worth.

Guy isn't the same power pitcher as Clemens, he's going to break down.

I don't think so. Only two teams besides the Yanks that spend money like that on a pitcher are the Red Sox and Dodgers and neither one of them would have made that deal.

Sox don't commit long-term like that and the Dodger are broke.

Yeah Sox would rather give out monster deals to John Lackey and Dice-K

Atleast the Yanks are paying for a good pitcher....And anyway who gives a fukk how much they're paying......They got money flowing out the ass

The Lackey deal isn't even close to this, it's about 1/3 less. Not really a comparable signing. Dice-K is a tough one because EVERYONE wanted him. If you remember, the Yankees were in that bidding war too. It was reported that the Sox only outbid the Yankees by a couple million dollars. Don't take the naive road saying that Yanks didn't want him. They sure did.

So you would rather waste 85 million on Lackey for NOTHING than pay CC 125 Mil, an all star??

Fact of the matter is you can bitch all you want about how the Yankees "waste" money, but they wanna win and spend it within the rules of the MLB so who gives a fukk

He isn't getting payed that much more then what he was going to make. Before he opted out he was going to get payed he was going to make 23 million a year until 2015. Now he will make 24.5 million until 2016.
Just an extra year and a small bump.
