Texas is +105 in Game 1 at home but -125 to win the series

Interesting. Shows how much respect the books have for Verlander, but how little they regard the other Tiger starters. They're a home dog in the opener with their ace on the mound, yet they're favored to win the series with guys like Lewis (Detroit has owned him in the past), Harrison (same) and Holland on the bump?

It'll be interesting too to see what they do with Ogando, given his success vs. Detroit this year as a starter.

Also because DET hit CJ hard only time they played against him, even though it was an April game.

Just remember what the odds were on the Rangers to win the AL Pennant before game 4 yanks/tigers series.

I suppose every team has to designate one pitcher as its "ace," but C.J. Wilson hardly does the term justice. Tigers are a huuuuuge bargain at -113 in Game 1.

If the Tigers were a "huuuuuge" bargain in Game 1, wouldn't the series odds be different? I mean, if the books expected them to win Game 1 on the road against Texas' No. 1 -- knowing what Detroit has done to Lewis and Harrison in the past -- why would the Rangers be -125 to win the series?

Your betting against Verlander who has been solid all year. I could see tigers winning that game and losing others. The rest of tigers pitching just as bad as texas pitchers. Scherzer, Fister arent much better or worse then holland and lewis.

Dude, I can't solve your riddles of the universe. All I'm saying is the Verlander twirling tomorrow at Tex is IMHO a fantastic bet and bargain at -113 ... actually, it's at -107 now at 5d. Look up the home/away day/night splits, look up some other info and if you wanna bet Tex, God bless ya.

Now about Lewis and Harrison, Fister and Scherzer, Delmon Young and his oblique ... TBD tomorrow. But Game 1 Det at -107, against C.J. Wilson, I am so all over that. GL.
