DEAR YANKS: I have some bad news.. and some REALLY bad news..

    READ THIS:

    https://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?...UE&output=html

    1) Yanks STUCK w/A-ROD for 5 MORE yrs after this..
    $30M, $29M, $26M, $22M, $21M.... he sucks now. It's only getting worse from here.
    NOBODY
    will pick up this contract.

    2) Yanks STUCK w/SABATHIA for 4 MORE yrs after this..
    $24M, $24M, $24M, $24M...
he's obese, and tired, next year fatter+ worse..
year after that.. same. and so on. Again, nobody picks up contract (too heavy)

    3) Yanks STUCK w/TEXEIRA for 5 MORE yrs after this..
    $23M, $23M, $23M, $23M, $23M.... boy i love Mark.
he hits 1 HR, and 1 GRAND SLAM in Reg. Season FinaLE.
(Yanks already best record AL).. meaningless effort to pad stats.
then goes 1 hitter over three critical playoff games

    4) Yanks STUCK w/BURNETT for2 MORE yrs after this.. (only 2, PHEW)
$16M, $16M,Burnett is a minor league pitcher from now on.
NOBODY will pick up this contract.

this is $348 Million for nothin. Yanks CANNOT UNLOAD any of these guys.
CC was going to opt out. Every knows his eating problem makes him
    a no-touch buffet

    1) NO TEAM can win with these guys at major positions.
    2) NO TEAM can afford to take this kind of hit, financially.
    3) Yanks going under, and staying Under.

    YANKEES ARE O*V*A*H
    (for a loooong time, gents)

i hate winning too much in the Reg. Season.
i hate being No.1 seed. much harder to win series. (tired)
i would rather play a series in the road, than be tired from a
    record setting reg. season.

Agreed on Lee. he has same problem that many athletes do.
NO PATIENCE> insists on dominating ASAP. (6 reg. season shutouts)
    meaningl;ess accomplishment without World Series.

problem is. dominating takes something out of you, he was due to pitch
awful. I am glad that it is out of way. Can't see him sucking that bad twice in a row. He is in tip-top condition. Good thing about Phils, is that they have a solid guy following any bad performance. less of a chance that the next guy will be off too.

i hope they are not too pooped from winning too much. when they won in 2008
their record was 90-72, this year it was 102-60

    i like 90-72 better.

hmm.. almost true. but they will still sink the boat.

    A-ROD first ballot.

Tex needs more than one championship to make Hall
and CC needs more than one championship to first ballot

No. they don't. bottom will fall out on Yanks like it did with US economy.

that is the very same idea... that created that mess.

    "it's cool"
    "just get another guy"
    "offer him the max"

    all those bills come due.

The media crowned this team from day one. Big deal that they have four awesome pitchers. Everybody wants to call it the best staff ever before they win a World Series. I'm a Giants fan and obviously biased, but that was a pathetic showing by Philly last year, and they hardly have that monkey off their back. I hope they lose the next two to St. Louis so the east coast biased baseball analysts / writers have to lick their wounds all off season wondering aloud why Philly can't get it done in the postseason.

BTW: it's not domination if you don' win it all. Just ask Brady about NE's undefeated run that ended when the NY Giants won the super bowl. Horseshoes and hand grenades.

Phillies fans need to STFU about how killer this rotation is until they prove they can win in the post season.

i totally agree... but many people seem to love killing in the Reg. Sea.
    i don't... never did.

i won a nice bet on the Giants Superbowl. i took the points.. 14
stupid to really expect to go undefeated.

i also won on Jets.. Brady 4 months no INTs. in ReG Sea. over 300 attempts i think.
throws an INT on 3rd pass in playoffs last year. what a dope.

throw one in the RS, why don't ya?

i was very disapointed with Lincecom this year.

He lost 4 out of his last 5 games just before regular season ended.

He's one of the reasons San Francisco not playing in October.

You spend a lot of energy tryin to bash the Yanks... somethin must of happened...

True - he lost four out of his last five. But he gave up 14 runs in 32 innings in those five games. So for a high 3's ERA during that stretch he goes 1-3 and a no decision?

The team's offense is garbage. This guy pitches on the Phillies, Yankees or Red Sox and there would be a steady stream from the media that he's the best pitcher in baseball. His W-L sucks because his team's a bunch of Sallys at the plate.

I was on the Giants in that SB too. Bet with my heart - hate the Patriots - and it was a sweet game to watch. I almost didn't even care about the bet, I just wanted NE to lose so bad.

I mistook you for a complete Philly homer. Sounds like you're pretty down to earth about them. I concede that the pitching staff is off the charts. I just get bitter when the media crowns a team before they've reached the destination. They *might* be the best team in MLB, but until they're pouring champaigne and the ticker tape's falling, I don't want to keep hearing it from the "experts" b/c there are at least two other teams (Detroit and Texas) IMHO who are great teams and quite possibly would destroy Phillies head to head.

i hate best record in league. 4 out of 5 times... kills team. When Phils won, best team in NL was Cubs, and they went out in 3 games.

EXPECTATION IS THE KILLER. (and if that is the case DO NOT create it)

i know easier said than done. but 6 shutouts is useless unless yout team scored 1 run
in each of those games. (LEE) actually was two outs awy from 8 Shutouts. awful.

if i was Manuel, i would have told him, "listen, son, we have some bats. stop showing off
keep them at 2-3, let's us do our jobs too."

The same Cliff Lee the Yanks drooled over in the off season?
Before he pulled the plug because his wife was treated like sh*t sitting in the stands at Yankee stadium when he was with the rangers

Yanks would LOVE to have Lee on their roster right now

indeed they would.. but they will never admit, i have been told a million times this season by Yank fans...
"no. we're GLAD he signed with Phillies. we have Colón, Garcia"

biggest 'denial' fans in sports. laker fans too... ithink it is a pattern..
people that like the Yanks, AND the LAkers.. invariably LOVE the Patriots..

it is about being part of dynasties.. not anything else..

total denial about reality, and losing eventually.
    which happens to everybody.

all will lose. all will die.
