    I think Maddon deserves an enormous amount of credit for his aggressive, offensive approach. Of course, he's got to have the right players, but he's a great fit for their ball club.

    I don't even think it's really a question... 42 million payroll and their in the playoffs over Boston. And not to mention won the AL East last year. The key is they know how to evaluate talent, and not just them but they have a great scouting department. Add the scouting department with the front office and you get the results you see now. Not everyone needs to buy teams (NYY & BOS).

    I hope Friedman rejects the huge salary the Cubs are about to offer at him this off season. It will be interesting to follow cause an offer is definite.
