    Mlb tuesday

    GAME 1
The San Francisco Giants are heading to Dodger Stadium trying to win nine in a row for the first time since May 20-31, 2004. The Giants are still in striking distance in the NL West and wild-card races, are enjoying their longest win streak of the season at eight straight. There is no other pitcher San Fransisco wants on the hill than Tim Lincecum. The 2 time Cy-Young winner , held the Padres to an unearned run over seven innings last Wednesday, is 0-2with a 1.65 ERA in four starts against the Dodgers this season. The Giants have dropped 2 of Lincecum's last 3 starts dispite his outstanding ERA of 2.70.Lincecum has been great on the road not only this year with a 7-5 record and an ERA of just 2.02 ( The best the MLB), but The Giants are 22-10 in Lincecum’s last 32 road starts. It’s unfortunate timing for Ross, who was peaking at the right time. He’s batting .309 with four homers and 10 RBIs in September, as he will not see the line-up in tonights match up, Pablo Sandavol should do just fine. Sandoval, 5 for 21 in his career versus Kershaw, is hitting .395 with three homers and seven RBIs against the Dodgers this year. The Giants are 11-5 in the month of September.
Kershaw will counter for the Gaints in hopes to spoil San Fransisco's hopes to the post season. Kershaw is looking to become the first Dodger pitcher to win 20 games since Ramon Martinez in 1990. Kershaw's 1.26 career ERA against the Giants is his lowest against any NL opponent, and he leads the majors with a 1.72 home ERA. The left-hander has not yielded an earned run in four of five starts against San Francisco this year, allowing one unearned run and striking out 30 over 23 innings in beating Lincecum three times. Dodger Stadium has been good to Kershaw posting a phnominal record of 11-1 there with the Dodgers winning 12 of his 15 starts. This not only critical but an unfortunate spot for the Giants and they fall to the Dodgers tonight. I can't see them beating the Dodgers behind Kershaw.

    GAME 2
The Rangers have won six of seven as they try to maintain their lead over second-place Los Angeles. They are hoping to clinch the West before a season-ending three-game set in Anaheim. Texas leads the West by five games and has a magic number of five with nine games remaining. The Rangers figure to have an edge Tuesday as Derrick Holland take the hill for the Rangers. Holland has won eight of his last nine decisions. He beat Cleveland in his last outing when he allowed one run and six hits in seven innings. Holland is 3-0 with a 1.65 ERA over his last four starts. Texas has only won 7 of Hollands 15 starts on the road but he still has an impressive 7-3decision record in hostile territory supported by a an ERA of 3.53. Beltre has been the hottest of all the Texas hitters with seven homers and 13 RBIs over his last nine games. which is closing in on a second straight AL West title. Beltre homered three times in the final two games of a series with Oakland from Sept. 10-11 to start this torrid stretch Beltre could be in for a challenge Tuesday since he's 2 for 16 in his career against Rich Harden, and are 65-42 against right-handers this year. Texas has ran the tables against division opponenets going 33-15 in this situation.
Rich Harden, Oakland's scheduled starter, will counter for the A's. Harden has gone four straight outings without winning since beating Toronto on Aug. 19. He lost to the Los Angeles Angels in his last start when he gave up three runs and seven hits in 5 1/3 innings. Harden is 0-1 with a 9.00 ERA in two 2011 starts against Texas, the team he pitched for last season. He has a 5-3 career mark and 4.78 ERA in 14 career appearances Oakland has dropped 4 of his 7 starts at the Coliseum this year and 8 of 13 overall as he holds an ERA of 4.76. The important components on this team are stuggling at the worst time of the season. Slumping Hideki Matsui is 1-for-19 through the first seven games of Oakland’s 10-game homestand. Outfielder David DeJesus is batting .168 against left-handed pitching but is 2-for-5 in his career against Holland. It has been a debacle for the Oakland in Division competition posting a horrific 21-27. and 9-8 in the Month of September. The Rangers are 10-1 in the last 11 meeting and should handle the stuggling Athletics in Oakland tonight.
    3* TEXAS RANGERS -140

    GAME 3
The Toronto Blue Jays have been quite a pest of late. They have won eight of 11, including a damaging extra-inning victory over the Los Angeles Angels Monday in the first of a four-game series. Despite their strong play of late, the Jays were officially eliminated from playoff contention Monday. But they have a chance at their second straight winning season, and need to go 7-2 to match last year’s mark. Brett Cecil who gets the ball for the first time in 11 days after cutting his left index finger on Wednesday while cleaning a blender in the clubhouse in Boston, is 0-5 since July 29. He allowed one earned run in 7 2/3 innings his last start Sept. 9 in a loss against Baltimore. Cecil has no decisions and a 6.75 ERA in two starts against Los Angeles in 2011. He yielded four runs in a 5-4, 10-inning home loss to the Angels on Aug. 14. Cecil has an ERA of 4.37 overall but that elevated to a batters dream well over 5.00. Cecil is 1-1 with a 5.76 ERA in his career against the Angels in 25 innings. He is 0-0, but has allowed nine runs in 12 innings against the Angels in 2011.
A postseason appearance is looking increasingly unlikely, but the Los Angeles Angels still have their top-line starters ready for next week's season-ending series against the AL West leaders. Joel Pinero will couner Cecil for the Angels. Pineiro looks to rebound from a rough outing Tuesday night when the slumping Angels continue their series with the Toronto Blue Jays. Pineiro was 5-3 with a 3.90 ERA on July 9, but is 1-4 since. He gave up five runs in three innings his last start Sept. 12 at Oakland. Pineiro has 55 strikeouts and 36 walks. He is 2-4 lifetime against the Jays with a 4.67 ERA in 69 1/3 innings, allowing three runs two earned in two innings of relief Aug. 13. Pinero has had a miserable year thus far dispite his earlier demotion to the bullpen, He has an ERA of 5.33 overall and 5.06 in his last 3 starts and a road ERA of 6.20. For the Angles, Erick Aybar has been the best in September, going 24-for-57 with eight RBIs to raise his average to .280. He shared AL Player of the Week honors Monday. Torii Hunter is 6-for-19 in the last five and Vernon Wells is 5-for-12 in the last three. Abreu, who has 30 doubles for the 12th time in his career, is 5-for-16 in the last four, and for the Bluejays, Jose Bautista is due to get going again. He has gone five games without an RBI since reaching 100 for the second straight season on Sept. 13. Adam Lind was 8-for-21 with six RBIs in five games before his 0-for-5 on Monday, but knocked in the winner with a ground out. I see no reason why this game will stay under 9 1/2 runs
    3* BLUEJAYS/ANGELS OVER 9 1/2 -115

    GAME 4
How you have an 8 1/2 lead in one week and less than 2 weeks later have it down to 2 1/2 I will never know. The Atlanta Braves seem to be falling apart at a less than opportune time. Atlanta is struggling to hold onto the National League wild card lead, but face a favorable matchup when they visit the Florida Marlins on Tuesday in the second of a three-game series. The Braves will send rookie Randall Delgado, who hasn't received a decision over his last two starts despite recording a 1.80 ERA. The right-hander gave up one run and four hits in five innings of Wednesday's 4-1 victory over Florida. Only the lack of run support has prevented Delgado from getting more attention. Opponents are batting only .204 against Delgado. Overall Delgado is 0-1 in his only road start but the Braves have won 3 of his 5 starts overall while he holds an ERA just over 3.00.
Anibal Sanchez will counter for the Fish, who has thrived since giving up five runs over a career worst-tying 1 2/3 innings of a 6-2 loss to Atlanta on Aug. 10, will look to add to the Braves misery. The marlins have won his last 2 out of 3 starts as he holds an unhittable ERA of just .86. But don't think Sanchez is not nervous going against the must win Braves. even though he has had only two games with double-digit strikeouts. Sanchez is 0-2 with a 12.15 ERA in two starts against the Braves - he was knocked out after allowing five runs in 1 2/3 innings against the Braves on Aug. 10. He is 4-9 with a 5.09 ERA in 15 career starts against Atlanta. Look for the Braves to get back on track here. A good spot against a pitcher that is pitching well but has stuggled throughout his career against this team.

I don't know yet. I don't do much after a big day like that.
