    It worked!

One hit, one run in bottom of 7th. That would be a home run... lol

1 hit in 8 innings is perty strong, even for getting the loss.

this kid is being used as trade bait too. you gotta figure this preformance caught larussa's eye.

You also have to give it up for Freddy Garcia. He held the Cardinals in check with Pujols on the lineup.

it was Pujols' first game back off an early return from the DL. I don't think many people expected big numbers from him tonight.

Reyes isn't trade bait unless its for Cabrera...which means he's basically untouchable.

Then that works but I'd believe that when I see it. Cardinals need arms in a major way for next year (this year as well) so I would think Jocketty would have to nearly rob a team to trade either Reyes or Wainright. 4 of the starting 5 are FA's and one of them looks to have a dead arm. It will be interesting to see what moves (if any) are made by the Cards. Right now they honestly need starting pitching as much as anything....and they won't find anything better than Reyes so just leave the kid in the rotation.

I hope your right as they've had quite a rough month of June (the starters). Cabrera is the only hitter I think I'd sacrifice a bit of the Cards pitching future...that would make for a pretty solid middle of the order.

i know abreu was another guy they were pursuing. i feel that would be a big mistake personaly.

that guy only shows up when he wants too it seems like. he just lacks the desire or something to fit in with this cardinals team this year.
