    Anyone trust Anibal Monday afternoon?

+118 at Mets. Dickey's on a nice little quality start roll, but the Muts are the Muts. Never really know which Sanchez is going to show up (he's been pretty rotten lately), and you also never know if Dickey's knuckler will bring its dancin' shoes.

Mets did just win a big 1-game series with Atlanta.

most day games should be avoided. Its so hard because all you can picture is yourself up a few units before the night games start.

Two hit and miss pitchers and two teams that are erratic at best

If this game were at 7 p.m., I wouldn't even look at it.

Plus, it's the first game of a day-night, so who knows about lineups.

Reyes will be back today. Dickey 1 hit them in a 9-2 win @ marlins last outting, while sanchez got tagged for 11 hits but the mets did what the mets do best (get runners on but no drive them in) and only score 4 losing 5-4. Both teams had 2 days off and a confidence win (phi's n braves) but i lean with the vet and the mets as reyes return should help the lineup and motivate the rest of the team to get him a W in his first game back.

I like the Marlins gm 1 and Mets gm 2

I might just chase the loser of gm 1. That's worked like the past 5 double headers.

valid point, anyone got a statistic on the under/over of double headers on two teams out of the race, seems often the second game goes pretty fast with neither team caring that much and unders rolling in

Agreed. Sanchez has been very solid. Idk why everyone says he is terrible. Certainly wouldn't back Dickey over him. Marlins or no play imho. Good Luck.

I know the stat nerds who just crunch numbers would argue otherwise, but the fact of the matter is he's won once in the last five weeks, had just two quality starts in his last six appearances and he's pitching for a garbage team that's won a grand total of four times since Aug. 2 (all by one run).

I'm not saying Dickey and the Mets are any good either, but to say Sanchez has been "very solid" is a stretch. He's been average at best, especially by his standards.

I hear ya, but I just think he is a solid pitcher overall. All that aside, he could go 8 and give up 2 ER and Malins backers could still take a bath with how bad the fish offense/team is. I'm staying away from this one, but if you put a gun to my head I would lean Florida. Good Luck.

I think he was much more solid a year ago. I haven't been overly impressed this season.

I have no idea why at one point I gave you even a shred of credit for being anything other than a typical burned by the vig square. This paragraph is just ignorant beyond comparison

and for the results oriented, how about texas and the over yesterday

I agreed with you on Texas and the over, so go suck your own dick someplace else.

I've watched Anibal pitch in four of his last five starts. He's been average at best. Period. And he's pitching for a lifeless team.

If you think Anibal Sanchez is "very good" just because his xfip says so, maybe you're the square bettor. He has not been, in any way shape or form, "very good." If he is as you claim, you'd be putting your entire bankroll on him today against Dickey a Reyes-less Mets team. I'm assuming that's what you're doing?

Under8 with these 2 pitchers (about 1.5 and 1.0 whip's last 3) at citi field with two teams looking to revive themselves after a layoff is a bargain. Also, wind is blowing to the right at 6 mph and there are lots of R's in the lineups for these two righty P's. Mets lineup looks like trash (also aiding the under) and i gotta think that Dickey's soft stuff may be easier to gear up on after the layoff, so i'd lean FLA.

Oh. With the way you were posting in this thread, it seemed like you liked New York.

At first glance I liked the Marlins at +120. The line has definitely moved in their favor and I still like them.

That being said, I'm having trouble pulling the trigger.

Day games like this always screw me. I'm thinking Fish and the over. That usually means Mets and under seeing as how the opposite always happens in day games.

If Florida loads the bases in the 1st and doesn't score, I'll no Im going to lose instantly.....

Why would you lean under after you just ripped Anibal saying he is " average at best" and he hasn't been good in his last few starts???
