Detroit 63% - Tampa Bay is likely to soon be good in certain games where the impact of their weakness in the pen is minimized, and this is one of those games.
Washington 54% - Both starters are likely to have similar outings, which benefits Washington. Colorado however is more likely to have a better offensive performance.
Yankees 55% - Randy Johnson is likely to give up a few home runs here, which does not bode well for the Yankees's chances. Jason johnson is also likely to get hit here. A high-scoring close game benefits the Yankees modestly.
Philadelphia 57% - Hernandez is likely to get hit here. Myers is also likely to have a sub-par outing, but less so than Hernandez. Every other measure for this game is roughly equal.
Toronto 53% - Downs is likely to have an above average start for him. Lopez has had a low degree of volatility in his starts and Toronto is likely to get a handful off of him and a bit more off of the pen.
Florida 58% - Thomson is likely to have a reversal of form for this start, but the Atlanta pen erases any benefits that might confer. Willis has a high degree of uncertainty for this start, bringing the confidence number way down for this game.
Pittsburgh 57% - Duke has had a low degree of volatility, which benefits Pittsburgh here, as they have a superior pen and are at home. Ponson also has had a low degree of volatility, which benefits St Louis, but he is liley to have an outing on the less effective side here.
White Sox 51% - This is a dangerous spot for both starters and both pens. The White Sox have slight egdes in all areas, while Texas has a small home edge.
Boston 52% - This should be a high-scoring game, with Boston taking a modest lineup edge, and Minnesota with a small edge in the pen. Both starters are likely to get hit hard, but extra rest should help Clement.
Houston 63% - There is a high degree of uncertainty in this game. Maddux is likely to have an effective start. Oswalt is as well, although his injury lends a low degree of confidence to that.
Arizona 53% - Vargas has had a very high degree of volatility, which benefits Arizona slightly. Cain has had troubles this year and he is unlikely to reverse form in this game. Both teams having had poor performances recently also benefits Arizona slightly.
Oakland 59% - Piniero has been having troubles but he is more likely to have a good outing here than most. Haren's high pitch counts and Oakland's sub-par bullpen confer an edge to Seattle.
Angels 68% - This is a dangerous spot for the Angels in general. They have unfavorable situations in their bullpen, with their lineup, and with their starter. Kansas City has all of its usual negatives but they are somewhat less severe for in this situation. Redman is likely to get hit, however.
Dodgers 53% - Penny is likely to have a sub-par outing here. The Dodgers do have a small lineup edge. Thompson comes with a high degree of uncertainty, and that benefits San Diego slightly.
