    Oswalt vs Carpenter !?!?

Can get philly @+101 at pinnacle
Philly's been big road favorites all series and now they are slight dogs against a weak carpenter.
    What's the catch?
Gotta go with philly here imo...

i think you are making a mistake. If you calling Carp weak you might wanna pay attention to what Oswalt has been doing lately.

cards have a better offense and arguably a better pitcher going, phillies should be bigger dogs

The two are very similar at this point in the game... in my opinion it comes down to whose bats and pen you trust more

btw great call on the series Dan

Oswalt has an xFIP of 4.06, Carpenter 3.34. Cards offense is 3rd in the league in OPS, Phillies 17th separated by .57 OPS. Even without pujols its not even close, he would close that gap by .15 OPS max

cards will be at least -115 by the time the game starts

Easy money bro, a team that is already decimated by injuries isnt gonna just bounce right up from losing there leader, especially playing the best team and facing 2 of the best pitchers in the league.

As for 2marro i dont feel like Carp and Oswalt are anywhere near the same right now. Yes Carps numbers arnt great but his stuff is there, can you say that about Oswalt? It certainly isnt about who's pen you trust more cause Carp even while struggling at times is pretty much a lock to go deep into this game, while Oswalt has only went 7 twice all season. I know phils pen has been good lately but seeing oswalt then the pen will be a hell of a lot more fun than what Cards have been dealing with the last 2 nights.

Would love to see my Phils sweep the series tonight but realistically I think the Cardinals salvage the rubber game.

Again, the Cards have the Pujols gap to fill.

    Under 8 is nice.

cardinals dont have the better offense without pujols. and carpenter has been tanking it this year.
